Syed Muhammad Ali is the Executive Director of CPSD. He has 24 years long, rich and diverse experience of multilateral and bilateral negotiations and dialogues at the world's leading policy forums on strategic affairs, managing international media, consultancy to multinational companies, academic teaching and policy research. His contributions on foreign, security, energy and nuclear policies have been published and quoted in the world's leading think tanks such as the Brookings Institute, CSIS and RUSI. He has spoken at the world's top policy forums such as Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs, Harvard University, Brookings Institution, Pugwash Conferences, Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS), London. He has authored, edited and co-authored several books, policy papers and research publications on foreign, security, energy and nuclear policies, strategies and doctrines. He has also taught at the National Defence University, Foreign Service Academy and Pakistan Institute of Applied Sciences (PIEAS). Earlier, he has served at PwC, the world's top international consultancy firm, and managed Cross Media Ltd, a London-based international media company. He has also served at Voice of America (VOA), Washington where he interviewed leading political and military leadership, Congressmen, top State Department and World Bank officials, security and think tank experts for the VOA television, web and radio services. He also hosted VOA's flagship 'live' primetime show 'Roundtable.' Earlier, he also served at the PTV World in the News and Current Affairs Department where he conceived, planned, wrote, presented and produced several television programs.
